TERSANAS
A small sandy beach at Akrotiri, which is popular with the locals.
Tersanas beach is located 13 km northeast of Chania city. It is the beach of the homonymous Tersanas village, and the small port of the nearby Chorafakia village.
The beach is well hidden in a bay at the west part of the Akrotiri peninsula. It features fine white sand and clear shallow water, which make it suitable for families with children.
As Tersanas beach is relatively small, it can get crowded, especially on weekends. It is organized, and you can find places to eat and drink next to the beach.
