THE CYCLAMEN GORGE
An easy to cross gorge with a unique natural environment.
The Cyclamen Gorge, also called Saint George Gorge, or Vante, starts from the Aletrouvari agglomeration, in an altitude of 300 m, passes through the eastern part of Saint George village and reaches the agglomeration of Vante , in an altitude of 50 m.
The path of the gorge is easy to hike, the duration of the hike being relatively small (2 hours from Aletrouvari and 1 hour from Saint George). Inside the gorge you will find interesting changes of scenery along the river and one can rest under the shadow of the huge plane trees and the cypresses. At the end of the path there are some refreshing small water ponds.
